Lebanon is facing the direct consequences

of a regional armed conflict that escalated sharply on February 28, 2026. Strikes on Lebanon have resumed and intensified, triggering mass displacement, rising civilian casualties, and the breakdown of social safety nets. The economic, health, and mental toll extends far beyond the immediate humanitarian crisis, with women and girls facing heightened GBV risks.

ABAAD is launching this emergency appeal to mobilize resources to sustain and scale life-saving GBV prevention and response services, ensuring survivors can access safe and timely support. ABAAD is also working to strengthen the national emergency response and has launched a call to action to all humanitarian actors working on the ground to join forces.
